It's been nine months since natural gas first started to trickle into the Sabine Pass liquefaction terminal as the Louisiana facility prepared for commissioning the first of five 4.5 million ton per year trains. Train 1, like those to follow, has the capacity to process and send out more than 600 million cubic feet of gas per day, but it was still unclear when the first cargo finally set sail Feb 24 if those first halting volumes would be the end of it because the prospects for Train 1 — much less Trains 2 through 5 — looked bleak.
