Oman is unlikely to offer spot LNG cargoes for export, as the country needs to meet its increasing domestic gas demand, Oman LNG executive Brian Buckley told journalists at an energy conference.Oman LNG will meet its supply commitment with long-term contract holders, but the liquefaction plant is producing below capacity as the government has prioritised gas supply to meet domestic demand, so additional LNG will not be available for spot cargoes. The two train project has a total capacity of 7.1 mtpa.
