Leviathan Field Development Deal Struck Between Israel, Noble, Delek

Israel has reached a deal with the multi-national consortium developing the Leviathan natural gas field off the Israeli coast. After weeks of talks over the government's initial June proposal, the new deal allows Houston-based Noble Energy and Israel's Delek Group to maintain ownership of Leviathan, Israel's largest offshore field. The companies are required to sell other assets, including stakes in the nearby Tamar offshore gas field and commit to investing $1.5 billion to develop Leviathan during the next two years.
