The oversupply of oil and natural gas continues to drive down just about every industry indicator in Texas with one key exception: Production of each continues to rise. The Texas Petro Index (TPI) for August, a snapshot of the health of the Lone Star State's energy industry, monitors not only oil and gas output, but commodity prices, rig counts, drilling permits, well completions and the index itself.
