US natural gas infrastructure has earned the right to be called "the envy of the world," Dave McCurdy, chief executive of the American Gas Association said at the recent Natural Gas Roundtable on North American energy security in Washington, D.C. During last winter's polar vortex when, consumption peaked at 139 billion cubic feet a day, the challenge was more than met by world's most "robust" infrastructure.
