Sunny California Rules in Solar Power,State Utilities on Board

Its no surprise that California dominates utilities'progress nationwide in harnessing solar power,according to a recent study released by the Solar Electric Power Association(Sepa).Not only does the state mandate 20% of major utilities'power be generated from renewable resources by 2010,but also,it's not called"sunny California"for naught.All three of the state's major investor-owned utilities,Southern California Edison,San Diego Gas&Electric,and Pacific Gas and Electric-along with the two largest municipalities,Los Angeles Department of Water&Power and Sacramento Municipal Utility District-have integrated a considerable amount of solar power into their respective systems.
