Ferc Clears Work to Commence On Presidio Border Crossing Project

The Federal Energy Kegulatory Commission has given the OK for Trans-Pecos Pipeline to begin work on its Presidio Border Crossing project to carry US natural gas into Mexico under an agreement with the Comision Federal de Electric-idad, Mexico's federal electricity commission. According to information from the Trans-Pecos website, the project calls for the construction of 1,093 feet of 42-inch pipeline under the Eio Grande Elver that will carry up to 1.3 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas from Texas into Mexico. On the Texas side, the project calls for Trans-Pecos building a 148-mile, 42-inch line that will run from a hub in Pecos County, Texas, to the border crossing.
