Canadian Gas Industry Not Predictable This Year

The Western Canadian natural gas business is behaving most irregularly, according to last week's wrap-up from investment bank FirstEnergy Capital in Calgary. Demand for Canadian gas was down so much earlier in the year that injections into storage began in early March, three weeks earlier than usual, noted analyst Martin King. Then the injection rates for the next three months were between 50% and 76% of normal.
