Northern Frac Proppants Brings Mine, Plant on Line in Wisconsin

Northern Frac Proppants (NFP) reports that its recently acquired frac sand mine and processing plant in Alma Center, Wisconsin, has reached commercial production levels. The facility is on 1,800 acres near existing rail lines near Black River Falls, Wisconsin. "Demand for our Northern White frac sand proppant has caused us to accelerate plans to bring on line our additional processing facilities in key locations in Wisconsin located on different Class 1 rail lines to better serve customers in all major North American shale plays," said Dan Koxlien, chief operating officer of the Houston-based firm.
