Uzbekistan plans to further up-grade its Bukhara refinery by in-vesting $475 million in the secondphase of a modernization programbetween 2012 and 2016 to im-prove output to EU standards, ac-cording to a Prime news agency re-port last week.Citing state oil and gas companyUzbekneftegas, Prime said the pro-ject envisages the building of newprocessing facilities that should en-able the plant to produce 960,000metric tons per year (22,400 b/d) ofgasoline, 706,000 (14,430 b/d) ofgasoil and 250,000 tons (5,480 b/d)of jet fuel — all meeting the Euro-3standard and higher.
