Georgia Allows South Ossetia Gas Flows To Resume

Supplies of Russian natural gas through Georgia to the breakaway territory of South Ossetia were resumed last weekend after a six-month disruption. The gas flows were resumed after Georgia repaired the pipeline to South Ossetia and gave permission to gas supplier Itera-Georgia, an affiliate of independent Russian gas company Itera, to resume supplies, Georgia's energy ministry said.
