Discrete Phenomena III the Fatigue of Aluminium Д16 Alloy

摘要

The basic results are described for a study of the discrete phenomena in fatigue of aluminium Дl6 alloy. The change of alloy state takes place at the bifurcation points of the fatigue process under cyclic loading that is accompanied by hardening and weakening together with a corresponding microhardness alteration. The bifurcation points appear not only due to the effect of the main alloy component, aluminium, but also due to copper and magnesium. The bifurcation points form a series described by the recurrence ratio proposed by V. S. Ivanova, that is based on the universal constant, #DELTA#, of metal fracture. Some of this series, which forms the cascade of bifurcation points, can be observed from the start-up of cyclic loading up to failure of metal. The change of microhardness under cyclic loading correlates with the discrete-probabilistic model of fatigue.
