摘要

An investigation was carried out to know the influence of stage of fruit harvesting and post harvest ripening on seed quality in bell pepper cv. Arka Gaurav. Seed weight / fruit, germination, seedling root and shoot length, seedling dry weight and seedling vigour index were maximum when fruits were harvested at full yellow colour. Further improvement in seed quality was noticed when fruits harvested at this stage were allowed for post harvest ripening for five days. Post harvest ripening significantly increased the seed quality in fruits harvested before they attained full colour.
