A field experiment was conducted to study the efficacy of Sebuphos Rugby 10 G (1.0 and 2.0 kg ai/ ha), HOE 388 5G (0.5 and 1.0 kg ai/ha) and Furadon 3 G (1.0 kg ai/ha) on toot-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica) damaging FCV tobaccoCV. FCV Spl. All the nematicides significantly increased the green leaf and cured leaf yield and decresed the root - knot index significantly over control except furadon wherein green leaf yield was on par with control. HOE 388 5 G (1.0 kg ai/ ha) recorded significantly highest cured leaf yietd/ha(1018 kg), while, sebuphos (2.0 kg ai/ha) recorded statistically lowest root-knot index (1.00) as compared to control (2.75).
