Documentation of Farmers Field School (FFS) through Case Studies

摘要

The research study was conducted in Kolar district of Karnataka during 2009, with the sample size fo 120 farm women participants of FFS. Any relevant technology certainly improves the empowerment level, knowledge, skill and changes the adoption levelof the farm women. Hence, the cases study method which involves an in-depth, longitudinal examination of a single instance or event; a case was employed to study the impact of FFS. They provide a systematic way of looking at events, collecting data, analyzing information and reporting the results. The documented case studies in horticulture crops are on 1. Cucumber cultivation, 2. Chaparada avare cultivation and 3. Carrot cultivation which helps to gain sharpened understanding of why the instance happened as it did, and what might become important to look at more extensively in future research.
