Plastic cage of tapered roller bearing for high temperature oil lubrication

The plastic cage is widely used for many types of rolling bearings thanks to various advantages of theplastics such as flexibility, light weight and so on. Polyamide66 is used for the plastic cages of ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings, andmodified Polyamide66 is used for tapered roller bearings for grease lubrication. But modified Polyamide66 for tapered roller bearings do not show good performance againsthigh temperature and hot oil conditions for the automobile components (ex. transmission anddifferential). This study presents the feature and property of the plastic cage for tapered roller bearings forhigh temperature oil lubrication.
