The perennially late Nathan Ponchard is turning the schedule into a Walkley Award for Fiction contender while the rest of us wait with sinking heart. Because various dramas off screen I have rendered a number of the usual suspects unavailable, Nathan's accordingly roped his dad in to help. And with two Ponchards involved there's a fair chance they'll never bloody turn up. Now, as it happens, we've got a spare Nathan, should we need it, among the small group waiting. But Father Ponchard has actually encouraged his offspring to effort and in almost reasonable time before the four-car convoy departs Sydney, heading south to meet with the rest of the circus in Melbourne.
