If it was last weekend then chances are you live in the country, but for the rest of us city slickers the opportunity to get some circle work done doesn't present itself very often. It's a shame, because not only is steering a car around an oval dirt track massive fun, it's also historically important as one of the earliest forms of motor racing and the ancestor to NASCAR and IndyCar racing. The annual Mud Run event held by The Devils hot rod club in Newcastle revives that link to a dirt track racing past.
