Sticking a high-performance diesel in the front of a mainstream hatch might not be your idea of a stove-hot ball-tearer, but the practice is gaining popularity in Europe. It's also exactly what Renault Oz has done in bringing us the 127kW Megane dCi 175. But for Australia, is it an honourable answer to a question that no one asked? I mean, are enthusiasts really prepared for a flurry of performance diesels?
