HOW FARMERS CAN HELP THE CHESAPEAKE BAY MODEL

On Dec. 29, 2010, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) established the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL). The TMDL is known as a "pollution diet" to restore clean water in the Chesapeake Bay and the region's rivers, creeks and streams. The finger has been pointed at agricultural practices, along with other sectors such as urban planning and wastewater.
