摘要

Problems of synthesis of carbohydrate analogs of nitrosomethyl urea are considered.It is shown that toxicity and selective action of carbohydrate analogs of nitrosomethyl urea depend heavily on the nature of a monosaccharide carrier of a cytoxic agent.Many drugs are highly toxic and have a number of side effects,which prevents their extensive use in medicine.However,it is known that incorporation of carbohydrate residues into the structure of biologically active compounds causes a dramatic decrease in their toxicity and this makes it possible to recommend the method of glycosylation of a physiologically active compound(or its individual fragments)at a glycoside site of sugars as a possible way of producing low-toxicity drugs.
