摘要

Proteins were extracted from a Canada-wide collection of Inonotus tomentosus, I. circinatus and P. pini isolates grown in liquid culture. One-dimensional (1-D) and two-dimensional (2-D) protein profiles were made and compared. Phellinus pini appeared more closely related to I. tomentosus than did I. circinatus. A dendrogram based on average root-mean-square distance between clusters distinctly separated I. circinatus into eastern and western groups. There were only two proteins from 1-D gel analysis that possibly could be used for antibody production to distinguish P. pini, and none for I. tomentosus or I. circinatus. For the three species, there were possibly 18 proteins which could be eluted from 2-D gels for developing distinguishing antibodies. [References: 16]
