摘要

A rapid and efficient one-pot method for thesynthesis of 4,6-diarylpyrimidin-2(1H)-ones and related het-erocycles is described.The condensation of acetophenonederivatives,aldehydes and urea in the presence of sulfamicacid was employed to synthesize a variety of pyrimidinonesin moderate to excellent yields.The scope and limitations ofthis method are described.
