During the first six months of 2005,investments by major automotive assemblers worldwide decreased 42.75 per cent,compared with the first half of 2004,according to a recent report.In the first half of 2005,major automotive assemblers invested US8.45 billion compared with US14.71 billion during the first six months of 2004,according to research from the Office of Automotive Research and Training,part of the Odette School of Business Administration at the University of Windsor in Windsor,Ont.
