MBO at Asano

The management of leading Japanese thermoforming machinery maker Asano Laboratories has undertaken a leveraged buyout of the firm from owner Tsukishima Kikai Co.Tsukishima acquired Asano in 1992 but is exiting the plastics processing machinery business.Asano's assets,liabilities,and the management were transferred to a special-purpose corporation (SPC) set up by Takumi Fund,itself a joint undertaking of Sanyo Electric Capital Co.and Japan Private Equity Co.,effective the end of September.
