Using the complete dynamic calculation method that was developed in our previous work, the dynamic calculation for hoisting motion of lattice mobile crane is carried out. Based on this method, the finite element model of crane structure will be coupled with the model of drive system. In consideration of properties of the crane hoisting device, new nonlinear finite element types for crane hoisting rope system are developed. The boom system is divided into Timoshenko beam elements. The hoisting drive system is modeled using hydraulic secondary control. The calculation has been realized for a lattice mobile crane. As a result, a more exact representation for dynamic behavior of crane structure and motor output during hoisting motion is achieved. The influence on dynamic response from hoisting acceleration, deceleration and hoisting speed has been studied.
