Orycon's T-700 sequential valve gate controller is designed for molding visually and structurally perfect parts. It comes in a mobile housing, has a touchscreen with high-resolution graphics, and is available in standard models of 12 and 24 control zones. Because each zone can operate as many as eight times per cycle (for a total of 96 operations per cycle when using a 12-zone unit and 192 operations per cycle using a 24-zone unit), control of the melt flow pattern in the cavity can be improved by a factor of four over the average unit, the company says. This allows the elimination of flow lines, cold welds and other defects.
