Base metals recover on reassuring Chinese economic data

The LMEX had recovered by 2-3% from its 16 Oct low, but losses on Friday are leaving metal prices slightly down w/ w on average. Reassuring Chinese economic data gave limited support. Negative sentiment on copper has been a feature of LME Week; closing the stable door after the horse has bolted comes to mind, given that it has fallen 35% since Feb'11.
