CoorsTek engineers wear-resistant CeraSurf ceramics for materials handling

CoorsTek CeraSurf ceramic liners, tiles and components extend the life of materials handling equipment - improving uptime and profitability. These liners and components are specifically engineered to endure the severe conditions in conveyors, chutes, cyclones, piping and silos. CeraSurf alumina and UltraSiC silicon carbide ceramics combine a higher strength with better abrasion and corrosion resistance, outperforming traditional materials by as much as 10 to 1. At MINExpo 2016, CoorsTek featured a recently developed alumina material that has demonstrated superior abrasion and impact resistance in lab and field tests. Also offered were ceramic tiles vulcanized into a rubber backing to enhance impact resistance and wear-resistant ceramic liners, tiles, piping and hydrocyclone cones.
