The Utah-Coal Section's 18th Annual Coal Country Classic golf tournament was held on Sept. 8,2012 at the Carbon Country Club in Price, UT. Ellis Pierce of Pierce Oil Co./Golden West Industries, in conjunction with the section and the Coal Country Classic Committee, oversee this worthwhile fundraiser every year. The weather was "no-coat" perfect. We started early, the committee put up all the signs on the golf course for hole sponsors and the WAAIME ladies sold raffle tickets before the shotgun start and during the event. And the section sold more raffle tickets this year than before. Chips, cookies and candy were also given to the players, and the beverage carts made lots of stops throughout the day.
