It's always something special when a new, long awaited kit is announced by a manufacturer and launched onto a very expectant market. It's very special when a new manufacturer appears on the market completely out of the blue and announces an entire range. And absolutely unbelievable when they announce that they are going to specialise in 1/32 scale biplanes, complete with appropriate accessories. The reaction when the Wingnut Wings range was announced in a special March/April edition of Windsock International was pretty remarkable and immediate, particularly on the message boards of the various modelling websites, where praise was pretty fulsome. Four models were built and reviewed (an LVG C.VI, an SE5A, a Bristol F2B Fighter, and a Junkers J.I) and the quality of these kits was clearly evident.
