Land Cruiser versus Range Rover? It's the 4×4 debate that's been going on for decades. And I'm still not decided. Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show to almost no fanfare - a 3.0-litre diesel-engined gas-guzzler wasn't quite 'on message' - this is an all-new version that's definitely from the evolution, not revolution, school of design. So what's new? Toyota has extended the Land Cruiser's off-road capabilities with Multi-terrain Select, which automatically controls power and braking to optimise performance for different types of surfaces. There's also Crawl Control, which lets the driver choose from five different settings to optimise vehicle set-up.
