Assessment of security required

The DMR has recently revised its procedures for assessing the amount of security (security deposit) required to meet rehabilitation objectives. Key principles of the assessment follow.Each disturbed area will be assessed according to the works likely to be required to meet the agreed land use or rehabilitation criteria.Where there is uncertainty as to what works are required to achieve those objectives, the DMR will take a cautionary view.
