ARC have a new chief executive and a new regional structure. It is yet another significant company overhaul in an industry that is gearing itself up for perhaps the hardest 12 months it will ever have seen. Following David Snowdon's surprising decision to step down in March after three years as head of ARC (he has accepted the post of chief operating officer at transatlantic 'buns to guns' conglomerate Tomkins), Simon Vivian, the then managing director of ARC Southern, stepped up to take his place. His first move in his new capacity was to merge the Southern and South Western regions.
