With the high-grade Waugh deposit injecting 22 million dollars into Sipa Resources International NL's purse over the next 12 months, the company is looking for a new production source. Waugh has a current mine life to October 2004 and exploration is now a top priority to extend this further. The company is keen to remain in the producer ranks, according to Sipa's general manager of operations and business development Peter Langworthy. He is confident the mining house will uncover more ounces to put through the Paraburdoo mill, and is backing this up with a 1.8 million dollars exploration budget over the coming year.
