After eight months searching for an advanced gold property, Nyota Minerals Ltd (formerly Dwyka Diamonds) could complete resource evaluation and project scoping studies within 12 months on its Turn Kapi project in Ethiopia. The company acquired a package of gold assets in west and north Ethiopa during February this year from Minerva Resources Plc. The Tulu Kapi project became an immediate priority for the company and led to a maiden inferred resource of 690,000 ounces at a 0.5 g/t gold cut-off (from 13.5 million tonnes at 1.58 grams/t).
