HAVING A PRIVATELY-OWNED group as a majority partner in a mine development can present some challenges as Alliance Resources Ltd has found. Alliance, as an Australian junior, has announced it is undertaking its own independent scoping study to verify information provided by 75%-owner (and joint venture partner/project manager) Quasar Resources Pty Ltd in its feasibility study on the development of the Four Mile uranium play. Alliance managing director Patrick Mutz said the relationship with Quasar, an affiliate of Heathgate Resources Pty Ltd, was working well, but added there had been some issues in the availability of certain information considered confidential by Quasar in respect to Heathgate's existing Beverley in situ recovery (ISR) operation.
