While officially announcing what could well become Australia's next gold mine, Troy Resources NL's executive chairman John Jones once again called on the Commonwealth Government to introduce a flow-through shares tax incentive for Australia's minerals exploration sector. Speaking at RIU's highly successful 2004 Explorers Conference held in Fremantle last month, Jones said Troy had spent some 8.8 million dollars looking for new ore bodies over the past five years. However, just 250,000 dollars of this amount could be directly attributed to the company's latest discovery - the Lord Nelson play some 30 kilometres south-east of Troy's aging Bulchina mine near Sandstone in Western Australia's Mid West. Earlier this year the junior mining house announced it had found another potentially economic deposit, Lord Henry, in the area.
