Multiple targets keep junior busy on two Australian fronts

DURING ITS FIRST year as an ASX-listed concern, Queensland-based Southern Uranium Ltd concentrated its field efforts in two of Australia's most exploration-friendly jurisdictions - South Australia and the Northern Territory. And now, it seems, the resources house is also looking to expand its interests overseas. During the week leading up to the RIU conference, the company announced it was about to start drilling a deep diamond core hole to test the Cocky Swamp iron oxide-copper-gold target-uranium in SA's Olympic Dam district. Located between Womera and the mighty mine itself, the target is buried beneath 865 metres of cover sediments and has primarily been denned by gravity geophysical data collected at the surface.
