Bannerman releases monster resource at Goanikontes

EMERGING URANIUM PRODUCER Bannerman Resources Ltd has been busy expanding its board to reflect its future role, while drilling at the Goanikontes Anomaly A project continues to grow the resource. Bannerman managing director Peter Batten said the company was currently in the throes of determining the final resource at Anomaly A based on infill drilling. Only days after his presentation, a resource of 106.6 million pounds of uranium was announced - a whopping 48 percent higher than the previous 72 million lb calculation. A bankable feasibility study on the project is due for completion in March next year, while the production target is 2011. Batten said the company would look to obtain mining permits once the BFS was completed, and expected this would take about two months based on the experience of Paladin Energy Ltd at Langer Heinrich (also in Namibia).
