Global trends the theme for this year's AMEC Convention

The mineral exploration and mining industry is currently feeling the effects of an uncertain global market. Recent downturns in commodity prices, difficulties raising capital and the European economic crisis and its effect on China are all problems currently facing the industry. AMEC believes it is therefore quite fitting that its 2012 convention should focus on the theme "Explore, Extract, Excel" which highlights all stages of the exploration and mine life cycle.
