It's probably a little known fact, but copper is having a positive impact on the food supply on one of the world's developing economies. Chief executive of the Copper Development Centre Australia Ltd, John Pennell, told forum attendees that the red metal was being used in the nets which Were being utilised by the aquaculture sector. The base metal, he explained, had many sustainable applications - be it m its effect on the consumption of oil by automobiles, its role in electricity infrastructure or its use in the construction of new buildings.
