Miner moves operation into second phase

After confirming stage one production success via a gold pour in January, Saracen Mineral Holdings Ltd did not rest on its laurels. The company was quick to shift its focus to the next phase of its Carosue Dam project in Western Australia as it went about securing future ore sources. Saracen had been working towards achieving mid-tier gold production status since acquiring the tenements - 120 kilometres from Kalgoorlie-Boulder - in 2006. During the recent RIU Explorers Conference, the mining house's operations manager Ealeigh Finlayson said the low risk, low capital initial phase would provide a comfortable backdrop for the company's foray into further mineralisation.
