The inverted bucket steam trap consists of a stainless-steel head (1) and a stainless steel bowl (2) screwed onto the head. The head contains the inlet port (4) with a removable non-return valve (8) and the discharge port (5). The inlet pipe (9) serves as the vertical guide for the inverted bucket (11) which is also in stainless steel. A removable filter (13) is located at the end of the inlet pipe. The outlet valve consists of a ball (19) on a pivoting arm (20). This arm is suspended on an inclined bracket (30) by two hooks (25). In the horizontal, closed position the ball (19) closes the orifice (18). When the bucket begins to descend the arm pivots initially about the upturned lugs (32) so that the valve remains closed.
