Cultivation and quality assessment of tissue cultures in Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer

To assess the qualities of ginseng callus culture, adventitious root culture, as well as solid-cultured and liquid-cultured hairy root culture, and then try to find the best one for producing ginseng active components.Methods. Biomass growth, ginsenoside and polysac-charide production in calli, adventitious roots and hairy roots of Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer were observed, and part of data were analyzed using cluster analysis to esti-mate more scientifically.
