Colby Storage Solutions, a division of Dematic, has launched a new system of drive-in pallet racking. Head of the Structural Engineering Department at Colby Storage Solutions, Dr Murray Clarke, says the new system is the result of three years R&D and represents a step change in the way drive-in racks are designed, "Many of the drive-in racks on the market make use of components that were originally designed for standard selective pallet racking. Racks of this type are not optimised for the specific demands of drive-in pallet storage applications," said Dr Clarke. "The Colby drive-in rack has been specifically developed from the ground up for drive-in pallet storage."
