AMERICANS IN GREAT MEASURE: A Double Tribute to Pat Naughtin

I had a colonoscopy recently, and when asked for my height and weight at that time, I stood my metric ground, quoting them, respectively, in meters and kilograms only, and did not permit the nurse to get me to convert back to legacy measurement units for her. Both of these acts, going to have a colonoscopy and insisting upon exclusively metric vital statistics, are tributes to the memory of one man who advocated both of them famously: former USMA member Pat Naughtin of Geelong, Victoria, Australia, who died of colon cancer in 2011.
