CIPM 2013 MEETING, SESSION II AND THE NEW SI

"Draft Resolution A 'On the revision of the International System of Units, the SI' is derived from the wording of the CCU Recommendation to the CIPM U 1 (2013) produced by the CCU at its 21st meeting in June 2013. During this meeting, the bullet point 'the CIPM to develop a plan to provide the path via the CCs and the CCU for implementing Resolution 1 adopted by the CGPM at its 24th meeting (2011)' was added to Recommendation U 1 following discussions with the PTB, Germany, about whether some form of 'quality control' is required before proceeding with the revision. The CIPM will ultimately need to take a decision about whether the criteria have been met and a plan is needed to know how this will be done.
