CARLISLE Brake Products was created in 2005 when Carlisle Inc. acquired the Off-Highway braking division of ArvinMeritor. The company has a long heritage of manufacturing high-quality brake components in South Wales, under the names of its better-known previous owners, ArvinMeritor, Lucas Girling and Girling. To help increase capacity and efficiency, the new business was soon moved in its entirety, including all employees, to a brand new high-tech manufacturing and development facility in Pontypool. Specialising in the design and manufacture of ball-ramp brake assemblies and hydraulic actuator products, ranging from basic master cylinders to customised and multi-functional boosted master cylinders, Carlisle Brake Products (UK) can truly be described as a full service provider, offering complete technical support from initial concept through to serial production.
