Feng Hsin raises rebar prices by almost $20

Taiwan’s Feng Hsin Steel has increased its purchase prices fordomestic ferrous scrap by NT$200 ($6) per tonne and its selling pricefor rebar by NT$600 ($19) this week, amid costlier scrap imports.This is the third consecutive week that Feng Hsin, Taiwan’sunofficial benchmark price-setter for scrap, has raised prices for thesteelmaking raw material, and the second time in three weeks that itincreased rebar prices.
